Career

Mission, commitment, and a career spanning more than 25 years

Mission

Jon's stated goal, throughout the life of the practice, was to provide cost-effective project management, owner's representation, and professional support services customized to each customer's specialized needs and requirements — while upholding the highest quality and integrity.

Commitment

Outperforming industry standards and exceeding client expectations was, by his own account, always Jon's commitment to customers and to the work he enjoyed.

The Practice, In Phases

How the work grew over the years

Early Practice

Foundations in project management

The practice took shape around facility assessments, renovation work, and public works and school improvement projects — building the field experience that would define its later reputation.

Core Years

Owner's representation across sectors

The client base broadened to non-profit capital improvement programs, church campuses, Class A office buildings, retail development, industrial parks, and land development and infrastructure work.

Later Practice

Recreation, residential, and forensic work

Later years brought recreational and amusement projects, themed environments, golf course development, and more than 4,000 residential units across subdivisions, custom homes, and luxury production housing — alongside litigation support and forensic job-cost review engagements.

Project Role & Responsibilities

Jon brought together the disciplines of a successful project — from pro forma stage through furniture, fixture and equipment fit-out, close-out, and final job-cost summarization. Post-completion, he continued to represent owners' interests in adherence to budgets and schedules, recommending delivery strategies and coordinating agency processing.

Summary Experience

Extensive project management, forward planning, purchasing, job cost control, and field experience across public sector and non-profit capital improvements, recreation projects, Class A office buildings, industrial parks, retail space, land development, golf courses, and over 4,000 residential units. Jon also provided testimony, litigation support, and forensic job-cost review services.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Urban and Transportation Geography — San Diego State University.
